To apply an electronic signature in Confluence, you must use a third-party app that integrates with Confluence and allows you to sign documents electronically. Once you have installed the app Document Control for Confluence Cloud, you can use it to add an electronic signature field to Confluence. When you are ready to sign the document, you can use the app to sign it electronically, and the app will store the signed document in Confluence. This allows you to manage and control your signed documents along with your other documents in Confluence.

Note that this add-on only provides part of the functionality to help you meet the requirements of 21 CFR 11 as it pertains to electronic signatures. Organizational policies, Confluence settings, and other document controls play an important role in total 21 CFR 11 compliance.
